I have an old ipod touch 2g that has bluetooth and a loose headphone jack. I wanted to connect this to my house stereo and my car stereo using bluetooth since my headphone jack fades in and out of channels (very annoying). With this adapter I can plug it into my house stereo's or car stereo's AUX IN jacks and then connect my itouch with a bluetooth link. Works and sounds perfect!!
Oh, and this device is so small (fits in the palm of your hand) that it is easy to take with you wherever you go. We have an HD radio at work that I can now stream internet music to it using bluetooth and my ipod's pandora internet radio app!
It's been connected to my ipod for a half hour now. The instructions say it will power off if the bluetooth link is dropped.
The only con I've found is that the charging cable is USB. I have plenty of computers around here to plug it into, but it did surprise me.

I have an iPhone 4, and a Scion TC. This little guy goes into my console (hidden away), with a plug to charge it. My phone connects perfectly and I can leave this puppy plugged in so it never runs out of juice. Not sure what people were talking about that you can't use it while charging, but that is definitely not true.
If it's on, and you plug it into a power source, it turns off... but simply powering it back up again solves that issue. If you want to go truly wireless in your car, and you have an aux input, you definitely want to get this one!

Audio signal sent by this unit is weak; it sounds thin, dim, and I would describe it as un-listenable. My part may actually be defective. Power-off issues aside, I can't even get it to sound like a normal audio signal.
For $30, this is right on the threshold of 'worth my time to return' or not. Leaning towards 'not' since I don't even want another one of these. I value buying a quality product that I don't need to return, rather than junk from a company that replaces the first junk with more junk when the first junk breaks.
I have a BluBridge and that works excellent, just gonna stick with that.
